Birth can be many things. For some, it can be exciting and something to look forward to. For others, the idea can evoke fear and apprehension. Your past experiences and associations with birth affect how you expect birth to be. How do you want to approach your birth?

While birth can be many things to different people, the one thing that is true for everyone, is that birth is unpredictable. That’s where I come in as your birth and labor doula. I’m here to help you prepare for different scenarios, whether you choose to birth at home, in the hospital or in a birth center. There are a lot of decisions to be made throughout pregnancy, labor and even right after the birth. You have the right to know your options and be in a position to make the best choices for you and your baby.

The other truth is that whether you felt informed and supported or not can have an effect on your birth experience and a lasting effect on you.

You have so much power and strength. I’m here to help you claim it and be beside you through it all.

Birth Doula Services in Memphis, TN

Compassionate care, education and guidance throughout your pregnancy and during your labor and birth. Whether you have a partner to be with you or not, you can benefit from having a birth doula.

  • $50 / hour

    I lead you through a visualization exercise to help you create your birth plan. For this exercise, I recommend booking two sessions. One for the exercise, and a follow-up session to reflect and write your birth plan.

    If you already know what is important to you and only need one session to gain some clarity, I will gladly do that, too.

    Available in-person and virtually

  • I currently work with another local doula in a “shared call” model. You have the advantage as the client of having prenatal visits with each of us and knowing that either of us would be at your birth.

    Includes:

    • 3 prenatal visits

    • Continuous support throughout your labor at birthing location of your choice up until 1.5 hours after the birth

    • 1 postpartum visit within 7 days of birth

    Payment plans are optional.

    Tips

    • Consider asking for doula support on your baby registry. Your baby will benefit greatly from having a well-supported mother.

    • Ask your health insurance company if they pay for or reimburse birth and postpartum doula services.

  • $60 / hour

    Available in-person or virtually.

    Private sessions to help you cope physically and mentally with pregnancy and coping methods for labor.

    If you’d prefer group classes, please check my current class offerings. I’m happy to provide you with modifications based on how you’re feeling.
